  • Replace the liftgate struts and test operation.
  • Scanned for codes in the HVAC module and found B11E5 present (left dampener motor short to ground or open circuit). Disconnected the plug for the actuator and installed a jumper from the reference voltage to the door position signal return. There now is a short to voltage code in the module. This verifies the wiring is intact and the open circuit lies internal to the blend door motor.

  • Attempted to start the engine and there is no power. Charged both batteries for 2 hours and they fail. Replaced the battery and the vehicle is now a crank no start. Scanned for codes and 14 are stored, cleared and 3 came right back, including one for low high side fuel pressure. Monitored data and the high pressure will not raise above 600 psi. A minimum of 5000 is required to open the injectors. Obtained a fuel sample to inspect for possible contamination, no problems seen. Removed the filter and allowed to dry to inspect for possible DEF fluid, none present. High side fuel pump has failed and requires replacement. Once apart, if metal is found in the system, the injectors and lines will require replacement as well.
  • Installed the new batteries and swapped the originals back in after diagnosis. NOTE: Battery hold downs are not on and missing hardware.
  • Test drove vehicle. Raised on lift and performed vehicle inspection. Filled out vehicle condition report and submitted to service advisor.
