- Remove the steering shaft coupler and power steering lines. Disconnect the pitman arm and remove fasteners and gear. Install the new steering box and reassemble. Replace the steering stabilizer shock. Test drive and inspect the repair.

- Vehicle has severe memory steering. Raised vehicle on the hoist, removed pitman arm and stabilizer shock. Wheels move freely and are not binding. This concludes the steering gear has a defect and requires replacement. The stabilizer shock appears original and is suggested also.

- Scanned engine codes, P0456 stored (evaporative system very small leak). Smoke induced the system and pressure holds. Tested purge valve for vacuum decay and none present. Inspected the filler neck for debris and it is clear. Isolated the canister assembly to test the integrity monitor. Switches to closed at 1" of vacuum consistently. No issues are present at this time. The evaporative system integrity monitor is a common failure as they fall out of the calibrated specification. There is also a bulletin issued to a module update for this code. It only applies to certain markets so it will have to be confirmed it applies to this vehicle.

- Remove fan clutch and drive belt. Remove fasteners and discard water pump. Clean surface, install new unit and reassemble. Fill cooling system, test drive and inspect repair.
- Remove the filler neck housing and tailgate. Remove bed fasteners and lift up on the driver side. Disconnect fuel line and harness. Remove lock ring and fuel pump. Install new seal and pump module. Reassemble, start engine and inspect for leaks.
- Test drove vehicle. Raised on lift and performed vehicle inspection. Filled out vehicle condition report and submitted to service advisor.
- Truck bed was lifted up to inspect. Found pressure line spout to be cracked. Installed a new pump and verified fuel is not leaking. Test drove and check engine light is on for a P0499 (leak detection pump high voltage) and will not clear.
